Do it here. What you'll be doing The Dir - VDI and Digital Workplace Strategy will be tasked with making sure Verizon's Digital Workplace is cutting edge, vibrant and meets the needs of our users. This role will be accountable for our critical Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (Citrix). In addition, this role will also manage a team that delivers strategy for the entire Digital Workplace organization. You will also interface with leaders and stakeholders across the IT portfolios, as well as deliver experience and solutions to drive all business unit demands by partnering closely with leaders in Consumer, Business, Technology, HR, Marketing & PPLS. String partnership will need to be established with Security, Legal & HR as well as building strategy and delivery requirements through Vendor partnerships. This is a fast paced, high visibility role that will shape the digital workplace for Verizon. Key responsibilities will include but not limited to:
Critical Virtual Desktop Infrastructure Keep the critical Citrix infrastructure operating a high level of availability consistent with Verizon's market position as the most reliable network Front door process to implement VDI infrastructure to meet Verizon's Global Manage demand to meet the needs of the business Constantly make improvements to availability and productivity DWP Strategy and Innovation Lead an integrated strategy across all DWP technologies Discover and drive opportunities to evolve the user experience Own and align the project pipeline and roadmap aligned with strategy Market Watch, Vendor strategy and alignment What we're looking for Experience Deep knowledge of IT systems and processes including legacy and new technology Demonstrated experience building and running critical virtual desktop infrastructure A solid understanding of digital workplace (End User Computing) technologies Excellent Technical and presentation skills Skilled at negotiating and balancing stakeholders needs Technology and business vision, understanding the future technology trends and their business and revenue implications Cross-functional program management at leadership level across planning, engineering and operations Leading at-scale, cross-functional process re-engineering and implementation to support transition delivering on both technical innovation and transformation agendas Development of large scale IT solutions impacting multiple organizations leveraging internal teams and multiple vendors globally and impacts to the teams in multiple organizations Building political and organizational consensus within a unique and often conflicting environment with multiple stakeholders and partners across IT and LOB organizations. Salary Range:
$250K -- $500K+
Minimum Qualification
Technology ManagementEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
