Job Description Summary of Position:
The Finance Operations Manager will provide onsite guidance and oversight related to the facility's key financial and operating transactions.
Measuring, reporting, and working with management to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of transactions.
This position will work closely with the facility's General Manager (GM) to track progress on key initiatives, interpret financial results and improve profitability.
Essential Functions &
Responsibilities:
Analyze daily transactions to ensure completeness and accuracy of data including receiving, shipping, invoicing, inventory adjustments, production batches and costing transactions.
Review exception reports, identify the root cause of the exception and work with facility and/or corporate personnel to eliminate future exceptions.
Ensure bill of materials, productions steps, and related costs are appropriately reflected in our systems.
Track, communicate results and work with facility management on training and process improvements to meet and exceed daily, weekly, and monthly Key Performance Indicators.
Analyze variances accounts weekly and report out on reasons for the variances.
Execute the corporate policy and procedures related to establishing and updating standard cost records.
Oversee the inventory process to ensure all required steps are completed, organize counting teams and complete test counts.
Review inventory results and explain any significant differences.
Ensure the production system (CMP) and the ERP system (BC365) inventory counts are aligned.
Assist the GM with completion of annual budgets and periodic forecasting using the established format.
Run the standard financial reports for the Monthly Business Review and assist the GM with preparing financial commentary on the results.
Monitor and analyze financial data to identify trends and recommend solutions to improve financial performance Complete assigned balance sheet reconciliations by the established deadline ensuring reconciling items are addressed timely.
Track supply inventory and analyze the related General Ledger account to ensure supply usage aligns with actual consumption.
Track energy expected versus actual usage and assist in improving energy utilization and decreasing energy expenses.
Implement corporate policies and procedures at the facility.
Promote an environment of personal and food safety.
Assist with the preparation of supporting documents and explanations for external auditors.
Ensure the facility has the appropriate business licenses and complete the required government reporting to remain in compliance with our licenses.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Knowledge of cost accounting in the agriculture industry including but not limited to growing, harvesting, cooling, and transporting and/or CPG manufacturing experience is a huge advantage Proficient in English and Spanish Education and
Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance CPA or CMA preferred 2 years of experience as a Finance Manager or other related position 5 years of cost accounting or manufacturing experience Experience using BC 365 Jet Reporting and PowerBI, or similar tools Supervisory:
This position may supervise a staff accountant as the facility expands.
