Temple, TX Temple, TX 6 hours ago 6 hours ago 6 hours ago JOB SUMMARY The Supervisor of Regional Clinic Laboratories plans, organizes, develops, and coordinates the operations of assigned Regional Clinic Laboratories.
Supervises all lab activities to ensure efficient operations, continuity of timely patient care and accreditation readiness.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE Supervises the daily functions of the laboratory to ensure effective operations throughout.
Prepares schedules, coordinates job assignments, and monitors personnel including the selection, orientation, training, assignments, and evaluations of employees.
Ensures staff has the necessary training and competencies required to perform their duties by coordinating continuing education and providing in-services and orientations.
Proficient in all areas of testing; including phlebotomy.
Performs all delegated functions as defined by facility CLIA Director.
Assists with budgeting, provides information about supplies, personnel, equipment, and seeks avenues of cost containment.
Establishes and implements quality assurance programs and maintains standards and records that document compliance with regulatory agencies.
Ensures the review of all quality control, proficiency testing, instrument maintenance, and quality assurance records, and any associated corrective action.
Acts as a liaison between medical staff, departmental directors, and support personnel, patients and visitors.
