As a General Laborer, you will play a crucial role in supporting the efficient and safe operation of the crew.
Your primary responsibility will be to assist in various tasks related to underground directional drilling operations, ensuring the smooth execution of projects.
This is a physically demanding role that requires working in various weather conditions and requires adaptability to a dynamic work environment.
Responsibilities:
Assisting the drill operator and crew members in setting up and preparing the drill site, ensuring all necessary equipment and materials are available.
Potholing Utilities, Pulling fiber, spotting crew as needed Digging trenches, trenches, and holes using manual tools and machinery, as instructed by the crew lead.
Operating and maintaining equipment such as excavators, backhoes, and other machinery required for underground drilling operations.
Assisting in the installation and removal of drill rods, pipe sections, and other drilling components.
Handling and organizing drilling fluids, including mixing and maintaining appropriate fluid levels.
Ensuring the proper functioning and maintenance of tools and equipment, reporting any malfunctions or damage to the crew lead.
Assisting in the general upkeep of the drill site, including cleaning and maintaining equipment, tools, and work areas.
Supporting the crew in the safe operation of machinery, ensuring compliance with safety procedures and regulations.
Maintaining accurate records of work activities, including equipment usage, daily logs, and maintenance records.
Following all company policies and procedures, adhering to safety guidelines, and actively participating in safety meetings and training sessions.
