Overview:
OBJECTIVE:
Responsible for the medical care of LSCC patients by providing comprehensive out-patient primary care.
Nurse Practitioners are responsible for upholding the values and mission statement of LSCC and will conduct themselves as senior level, full time professional employees of the organization.
Under the direction of the Medical Director, delivers primary care commensurate with training to patients of LSCC.
Delivers care appropriate for an out-patient, primary care community health center with a multicultural, multilingual patient population.

Providesexamines,diagnosesandtreatspatientsof the age group appropriate to clinic/service line assignment and provider's certification/privilegesCompletemedicalcharts after each visit in the electronic medical records systemAppliesforandobtainsstaff privilegesat community hospitals in the area as recommended/required by LSCCProvidequalitymedicalcare according to (disease) guidelines, standards and policies established by LSCCAttendinternalandexternalmeetings,workshops,conferences,andparticipateon task forces or committees, when necessary and as requiredAll otherdutiesor responsibilities as assigned by Medical Director Operations:
Providequalitymedicalcare according to standards established by LSCCAssistandparticipatein internal quality control auditsPracticein accordance with the LSCC Delegation Protocol/Collaborative Practice Agreement; establish medical diagnoses for patients that are within the scope of practice, and order or prescribe legend drugs and medical devices as authorized by the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners (BNE) under Rules 221 and 222, and the Texas Medical Board (TMB) under Rules 2 and 193.

Qualifications:
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND LICENSE:
CurrentRegistered Nurse and Advance Practice Registered Nurselicensurein the State of TexasDEA as required by Service lineNursePractitionerBoard CertificationBasic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)DEA as required by Service lineMaintain continuing education as required by licensing and any applicable accrediting boards, maintenance of certification if applicable, and completes additional educational units as required by LSCC (e.
g.
, risk management courses).
Minimum of one (1) year of nursing experience PREFERRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND LICENSE:
Two (2)years' experience as a Nurse Practitioner in a healthcare clinicalsetting Family Medicine preferredPrevious work and proficiency using electronic medical records (EMR) Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook) Bilingual English/Spanish language skills are preferred but not required All LSCC employees function as a member of a collaborative health care team to create and maintain a Patient Centered Medical Home where emphasis is on excellent communication, support of the patient in self-management and care is provided and tracked in a culturally competent, behaviorally enhanced setting supported by information technology.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
