Psychologist (PTSD/Tele-Mental Health) Temple

The incumbent will be assigned to one of the following areas within Mental Health and Behavioral Medicine, Psychology Service.
The psychologist applies advanced professional psychological diagnostic methods and evidence-based intervention strategies to a full range of patient problems in his/her work setting.
S/he has advanced knowledge of psychological diagnosis, intervention, and behavioral health as it impacts and is impacted by health related conditions that qualifies him/her to provide advice and consultation to professionals representing a variety of disciplines.
The primary job functions of psychologists at this level include the provision of direct psychological patient care to veterans and their families in the Mental Health Clinic.
The psychologist for whom this functional statement applies is assigned to the Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) Treatment Program within the Mental Health and Behavioral Medicine Service.
In addition to providing direct patient care, this psychologist does not have collateral research obligations.
He/She also does not have supervisory responsibilities.
Participates as a member of a multi-disciplinary PTSD clinical team providing a full range of psychological services, therapy as well as addressing consults.
Provides evidence-based individual and group psychotherapy to veterans with complex mental health problems, most typically these problems are associated with combat-related trauma.
Most but not all direct patient care services are delivered through tele-health technology.
This includes but is not limited to telemental-health and CVT into the home technology.
Provides couples and family psychotherapy promoting healthy adaptation after the PTSD Treatment Program.
Administers/scores or evaluates psycho diagnostic tests, including neuropsychological screening.
Contributes to the gathering of assessment information and the development of a detailed treatment plan for veterans serviced by the PTSD Treatment Program.
Participates as a member of medical center hospital committees as directed.
Serves as an advisor, consultant and/or resource person to the staff within the medical center.
Maintains appropriate records and follow-up data on patients who are their responsibility.
Serves as a member of the planning group for evaluating the effectiveness of the treatment program and modifying it to better serve the needs of the patient.
Complies with national and local performance measures, including timely health care screening and completion of clinical reminders for all patients.
Complies with all CPRS documentation procedures, including timeliness standards for documentation and proper patient check out procedures (e.
g.
, entering diagnostic and procedure codes).
Attends and participates in administrative and informational meetings as held by CTVHCS and MH&BM management.
Attends regular PTSD program meetings, Psychology Service staff meetings, Medical Staff meetings, MH&BM Staff meetings and complies with Psychology Service peer review procedures.
Provides clinical instruction for psychology interns as assigned.
Conducts Compensation and Pension (C&P) evaluations as needed.
Preferred applicants - be board certified or board eligible psychology - has at least one year pre-doctoral work experience and one year postdoctoral work experience as a psychologist in the VHA or a comparable professional setting.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
