Individual must have Artillery experience and the ability to perform maintenance on associated tasks related to maintaining power plants, engine fuel systems, air induction systems, exhaust systems, cooling systems, engine starting and charging systems, track electrical and hydraulic systems, automatic cross-drive transmission assemblies, auxiliary drive assemblies, track vehicle suspension, fire suppression systems and gas particulate filter systems of the M109A6 M109A7 and M992A2 M992A3 self-propelled field artillery cannon weapon systems.
Requires the ability to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues associated with Artillery Platforms. Document the problem, develop procedure, and communicates recommended corrective action to the customer.
Position requires the ability to lead small team to install modifications and retrofits to platforms not limited M109 and M992 Family of vehicles, test product and verify installed products are in compliance with customer requirements. May assist in planning, estimating, and scheduling required personnel and equipment for assigned projects.
Assists in analyzing system deficiencies and provides input to recommended design changes to engineering.Assembles, installs, tests, maintains, and repairs products and ensures products are in compliance with customer requirements.Assists in pre-overhaul inspections and the preparation of discrepancy reports.Serves as point of contact with customers, suppliers, and division management regarding schedules, technical issues, and administrative matters.Maintains configuration control databases and is responsible for logistical functions for assigned projectsMaintains up-to-date knowledge of relevant discipline(s), industry practices, trends, and applications.Maintains a safe work environment and ensures compliance with safety objectives and policies.Shares responsibility of self-development with immediate supervisor
