EBI Data Analyst I - State Reporting

The EBI Data Analyst I for State Reporting is responsible for gathering and documenting business requirements, design requirements, test cases and scripts, test plans, and participates in user acceptance testing for Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence solutions.
The EBI Data Analyst I for State Reporting will handle tasks at a low to moderate level of complexity and difficulty and may be assigned to project or support activities.
The EBI Data Analyst I will work with other technical team members to deploy solutions based on departmental documentation and testing standards and will communicate/interact with end-users individually as needed without direct supervision within the scope of their assigned tasks.
The EBI Data Analyst I for State Reporting will also have the following responsibilities including but not limited to:
Document and gather detailed business requirements for data and reporting solutions Document and gather the following for data and reporting:
detailed functional design specifications, detailed data design specifications, and detailed ETL specifications for Data Warehousing interfaces, extracts, and staging areas Develop test cases and SQL test scripts based on detail data design, detail functional design and ETL specifications Execute QA data and functional test activities including performing root cause analysis and managing the resolution of defects.
Manage the resolution of project and support issues within the scope of assigned tasks.
Own and be fully accountable for assigned support of existing applications including:
keeping end-user contact lists up to date, keeping communications of Service Level Agreements up to date, and evaluating and scoping new requests and incidents.
The ideal EBI Data Analyst I for State Reporting holds a Bachelor's Degree and 2 years of relevant, applicable experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (Associate's Degree-4 years, High School Diploma-6 years).
The ideal EBI Data Analyst I for State Reporting will possess knowledge and experience with Data Warehousing, ODS, or other reporting environments in a professional or educational setting.
The ideal EBI Data Analyst I for State Reporting will be knowledgeable of healthcare or finance domains within a professional or educational environment.
The ideal EBI Data Analyst I for State Reporting will have the ability to write SQL queries against relational databases of a simple complexity.
The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills and will possess exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively interact and communicate with a diverse range of professionals.
